If you aren't planning on shuffling later with a fetch land or something, I'd have to agree with you that Preordain is probably better for this role than Ponder. 這樣說好了，如果標準的地牌來源像古典一般的話，那Ponder一定會是最佳選擇；但以目前標準的態勢而言，占卜比重排牌庫重要多了。有多少次你只看到一張你要的卡，而其他兩張是你完完全全不想碰的? Ponder會在把洗牌當呼吸一樣尋常的賽制中大放異彩，但是在其他賽制中，註定則較好。
"because when you get to dump cards to the bottom, you aren't left with crap should you want at least one of the cards. dumping 2 cards means you effectively shuffle like you do with ponder, but when it came to ponder, you were forced to keep cards on top that you didn't want if you really wanted one of the cards. preordain is filtering, whereas ponder was just rearranging cards on top like a sorcery speed brainstorm."
如果你把爛牌放下去，且如果你有看到至少一張你要的卡，則恭喜你，你完完全全擺脫那些張爛牌。把兩張爛牌放下去幾乎與使用Ponder並且洗牌一樣有效。但是當你使用Ponder時，如果你想要其中一張牌，你也被逼的把剩下的牌放在上面。註定是"過濾"牌，而Ponder只是重新排列牌庫，如同一張巫術版的腦力激盪。
